Yvonne M. Pope

ETTERS- Yvonne M. (Nilsen) Pope, 74, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Pope was born in Trevorton on September 29, 1945, the daughter of the late Gustav G. and Sara L. (Davis) Nilsen. Yvonne’s working career started right out of high school in the clerical secretarial field. She worked at the Olmsted AFB and the Lewisburg Federal Penitentiary before retiring in 1995 from New Cumberland Army Depot. Mrs. Pope was Lutheran by faith; and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, as well as her dogs Mattie and Starr and her cat Oreo. Mrs. Pope leaves a daughter, Kimberly J. Miller and her husband, Scott of Etters; a step son, Randy Pope; five grandchildren, Brandyn Miller, Kory Miller, Caitlin Miller, Priscilla Yarger and her husband, Nelson, and Scott Pope and his wife Tammy; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence Nilsen and his wife Margarete of Tucson, AZ and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Raymond, Russell, Nils, Carl, and George. Services will be held Saturday February 29th at 2pm in the Franklintown United Brethren Church 10 N. Baltimore Street, Franklintown, PA 17323, Pastor Paul Dunbar will be officiating. Beaver-Urich Funeral home, Inc. 305 West Front Street in Lewisberry is assisting the family with the arrangements.
