Yvonne M. (Fisher) Frey

SPRING GROVE- Yvonne M. (Fisher) Frey passed on December 11, 2020 after a valiant fight against cancer at Hospice & Community Care, Mt Joy. “Vonny” was born in 1949 to Burnell and Betty and is survived by her husband of 27 years, Ronald (Skip) Frey, Jr.; her brothers Steve and wife Babs, Doug and wife Julie; sister Dolly and husband Terry Bailey; daughter Missy Schaszberger and husband Monte; son Erik and wife Stephanie; as well as 10 great/grand children. Vonny lived most of her life in Spring Grove working at BAE systems, formerly BMY, for about 40 years until her retirement. She was a welder, quality engineer, and friend to many. Vonny was creative and an entrepreneur-who loved making jewelry, particularly with her “grand babies.” She operated Yvonne’s Gift Boutique in the late 1980s in York. She loved to travel, be beside the water, but mostly spending time with family and friends. In this last year, Vonny and Skip set-up the “vacation of a lifetime” for the family- she cherished the moments and the family treasures the memories. Due to COVID-19, a private family viewing is being held with possible celebration of life in the spring. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements.
