Yvonne M. (Carvalho) Hyser

York—Yvonne M. (Carvalho) Hyser, 88, died Friday, December 13, 2013 at Hospice and Community Care in Mt. Joy. She was the wife of the late Edward F. Hyser. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10 AM, Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York with the Rev. Richard B. Starr officiating. A viewing will be held from 9-10 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Born October 16, 1925 in New Bedford, MA, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Laura (Aube) Carvalho. A caring homemaker to husband and children, she was also a life member of the York PTA and VFW Ladies Auxiliary-Post 8951 and a member of the USS Albany Assoc. In addition to her memberships she volunteered at York Hospital and the Strand Capital Theatre for many years. Mrs. Hyser is survived by one son, Brian V. Hyser; three daughters, Julie Hyser, Cheryl Naill and Siobahn Hyser; one brother, John Jankowiak and three nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Conrad Carvalho.
