TROY- Winona M. "Noni" (Rought) Darrow, 82, of Granville Summit, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at the Bradford County Manor. Family and friends are invited to call Friday, July 6, 2007 from 6 to 7 PM at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA 16947. Funeral services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 7 PM with Reverend Francis Montgomery of the West Burlington United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy, PA. She was born April 26, 1925 in Sylvania, PA daughter of the late Burton and Thelma Snyder Rought. She was married to the late Leon "Jake" Darrow who proceeded her in death on January 29, 2007. Noni worked for many years at Eureka as a machine operator. She was very gifted and crocheted many articles over the years and also was a fine thread embroiderer. Her other hobbies including traveling with her late husband, their travels took them across the United States and they especially enjoyed their trip to Nova Scotia. Noni was a member of the West Burlington United Methodist Church and the West Burlington Ladies Auxiliary Station #2. She also served as the West Burlington Building Permit Clerk. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Charles Hall of Granville Summit, PA, sons and daughter-in-law, Jon and Terrie Darrow of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, James Darrow of Mansfield, Ohio, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, son Gerald Monroe, brother Louis Rought, sisters, Marchita Krise and Lorraine Jenkins, predeceased Winona in death. Memorials are directed to the American Kidney Foundation PDK or to the West Burlington United Methodist Church envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
