Winnie L. Renninger

DOVER- Winnie L. (Handcock) Renninger, 86 of Dover Township, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Renninger. A private graveside service will be held at Shriners Cemetery in Selinsgrove, PA. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Renninger was born in Bay Springs, Mississippi on March 30. 1933, the daughter of the late Clyde E. and Mable (Walker) Handcock. She retired from Pathmark Grocery Store in York. Mrs. Renninger and her husband, bred and raised horses at JWR Stables in Dover that raced at Penn National and in Charleston WV. She was a member of The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union and a member of the Hawks Club Auxiliary. Mrs. Renninger leaves six daughters, Mary Mumma and her husband, Norm of Dover, Barbara Landis and her husband, Jeffrey of Windsor; Jo Pinto of Lancaster, Cathy Beshore of Red Lion, Lynn Santos and her husband Orrin of California; and Dusty Sharpe of Texas; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; as well as three sisters, Mary Jernigan, Sherry West, and Johnny Jo Jernigan.
