MILTON - Winifred E. "Winnie" (Baumgardner) Keifer, 79, formerly of West Milton, died on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Kramm Nursing Home, Watsontown. Winifred was born on December 20, 1930 in New Berlin and was the daughter of the late Harry Brice and Susie Cathermine (Dauberman) Baumgardner. She was a graduate of Milton High School, class of 1948. She was married to the late Charles E. Keifer for 44 years until his death on July 29, 1992. Winifred was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, New Columbia. She was a member of the White Deer Twp. Vol. Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking and playing games. She always helped others and was a giving person. Winifred is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law; William F. Keifer of W. Milton, Dennis E. and Tracie L. Keifer of Milton and Charles E. "Chip" and Lisa J. Keifer, II of Sunbury, three daughters and one son-in-law; Patricia A. Keifer Brion of Milton, Pamela R. and David W. Russell of Milton and Susan R. Keifer and her fiancee' Donald A. Waltman, II of Millmont, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren who referred to her as their "Mimi" as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters whom she loved very much. There will be a public viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2010 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton and again from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 where the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. The Reverend Wayne Shamer and Reverend Ralph Hibbs will officiate the services. Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery, New Columbia. Flowers are welcome and to carry on Winifred's giving ways, memorials may be given to a charity of one's choice.
