Winford H. "Skip" Minium

WATSONTOWN - Winford H. “Skip” Minium, 73, died Sunday, September 17, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Milton on February 15, 1944 and was the son of the late Howard and Anna (Bogart) Minium. On June 28, 1969 Skip married the late Constance J. “Connie” (Vargo) and they celebrated 41 years of marriage together until her death on June 12, 2011. Skip worked for Chef Boyardee for 22 years and retired in 2006. He was a member of the White Deer Park and he enjoyed his dogs, mowing grass, hunting, working outdoors, and his tractors. Skip is survived by two brothers and one sister-in-law; Herbert “Butch” and Mary Minium and Eugene Minium both of Watsontown, three sisters; Lucile Waters of Mifflinburg, Grace Kitner of Watsontown and Patricia Yetter of Middleburg, three brothers-in-law; John (Jeanne) Vargo, Jr of Turbotville, Robert (Judy) Vargo of Massachusetts and David Vargo of Montandon, two sisters-in-law; Patricia (Ronald) Zearfoss of Texas, and Deanna (Larry) Shearer of Milton along with many nieces and nephews, specifically; Krista (Shawn) McMonigle of Muncy and Peter (Catherine) Vargo of Hawley. In addition to his parents and wife, Skip was preceded in death by three sisters; Rachel Mitchell, Evelyn Baker and Emma Haines. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Rd. Williamsport, PA 17701. A memorial service will be held at Warrior Run Manor, 1105 Main St., Watsontown on Sunday, October 15th at 3:00 pm. Burial will take place in Follmer Lutheran Church, Milton prior to the service. Arrangements are being handled by Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 North Front St., Milton.
