Wilma E. Downs

SHREWSBURY-Wilma E. (Grove) Downs, 97, formerly of Red Lion passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Spirit Trust Lutheran the Village at Shrewsbury. She was the wife of the late Dale L. Downs. In recent years she was the loving companion of dear old family friend, “Mac”. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is assisting the family with the arrangements. Services are private at the convenience of the family. A public celebration of life service will be announced at a later date. Mrs. Downs was born in Felton on August 17, 1920, the daughter of the late Archibald Harrison and Beulah Mae (Hershner) Grove. Mrs. Downs leaves a son, Brenton H. Downs and his wife Susan of York; a daughter, Bonnie D. Abenshon and her husband Herb of Fayetteville; six grandchildren, Olivia, Harrison, Jay, Randy and his wife Dana, Eric and his wife Kim, and Kris; six great grandchildren; seven great, great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
