William W. Adams

William W. Adams, 84, died on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Brickmont Assisted Living in Acworth, GA. He was the husband of Joan M. (Ness) Adams to whom he was married for 63 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. A viewing will be from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service with masonic rights by the York Masonic Lodge #266 at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born on October 13, 1936 in Coatesville, he was the son of the late William W. Adams, Sr. and Georgia E. (Heck) Norris. William was a millwright for the carpenters’ union until his retirement. Mr. Adams served our country in the United States National Guard for three years. William was a 32nd degree mason, a member of the F&AM York Lodge #266 and a member of the York Skin Diver’s Search and Rescue Squad. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting. Along with his wife, Joan, William is survived by three sons, Timmy Adams and his wife, Lois of Acworth, GA, Ricky Adams and his wife, Cindy of Acworth, GA and Nelson Adams of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren, Travern Adams, Travis Adams, Brandy Hunter, Mindy Adams and Cody Adams; and seven great grandchildren, LynLee Adams, Foster Adams, Dylan Adams, Wess Adams, Lexie Hunter, Gavon Hunter and Cash Adams.
