AIRVILLE-William S. Flinchbaugh, 87, of Lower Chanceford Twp., died Monday, December 24, 2007 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Constance M. (Seacman) Flinchbaugh. A Memorial Service will be 7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2007 at Chanceford Presbyterian Church, Rt. 425 and Kennedy Rd. in Airville, with a visitation from 7 to 7:30 p.m. The Reverend Harry R. Robinson will be officiating the service. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Flinchbaugh was born in Red Lion on September 18, 1920, a son of the late Curvin Flinchbaugh and Pauline (Raab) Flinchbaugh. He worked for the former York Ice Machine Company and retired as a Foundry Supervisor in California. Mr. Flinchbaugh attended Chanceford Presbyterian Church in Airville and was a member of the American Legion. He was a 1938 graduate of Red Lion High School and a 1942 graduate of Penn State University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. He was a US Army Air Force Veteran who served during WWII. Mr. Flinchbaugh leaves two grandchildren: Joseph Flinchbaugh and Julie Carmody both of Wisconsin, four great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a special friend, Donaleen Sheffer. He was preceded in death by a son, William S. Flinchbaugh, Jr. and two sisters: Lorna Frutiger and Elaine Downs. Memorial contributions may be made to Chanceford Presbyterian Church, Rt. 425 and Kennedy Rd., Airville, PA 17302.
