William R. Sizemore

Dover—William R. Sizemore, 61, passed away, Monday, August 16, 2010 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Carol L. (Kupferer) Sizemore. The couple recently celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary. Born February 5, 1949 in Greensboro, NC, he was the son of Clara Lee (Edwards) Sizemore and the late Gurney R. Sizemore. Bill was very active in his church, St. Paul's UCC in Mechanicsburg as well as his community. Along with his wife, he unselfishly devoted his time to others and to charities such as the MS 150 bike ride and worked passionately to ensure equality for all people. Bill was employed with GEA FES Inc. for the past 34 years as an Engineer. He was a member of the United States Air Force serving with the 858 Air Defense Group. In addition to his wife, Mr. Sizemore is survived by two sons, Jason D. Sizemore and his partner, William R. Sanders of Allentown and Ryan I. Sizemore and his wife, Christeen Y., of Herndon, VA, one granddaughter, Olivia Hanul Sizemore and numerous other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his sister, Darlene Sizemore-Dalton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's UCC in Mechanicsburg. A celebration of life service will be arranged at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, is in charge of arrangements.
