William 'Pat' Mehaffie

York—William “Pat” Mehaffie, 44, died Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Memorial Hospital. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 AM, Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Viewings will be held from 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday and from 9 to 11 AM, Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Born July 31, 1968 in Baltimore, he was a son of the late William L. and Carol J. (Tartar) Mehaffie. He was employed with Penn Waste for several years. An avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan, he was also a member of the Prince Athletic Association and enjoyed fishing. Pat is survived by four children, Misty Mehaffie of Dallastown and Shan, Damon and Kodi Mehaffie, all of York; five grandchildren, Leland, Nevaeh, Sydney, Alluriana and Sullivan; five sisters, Vicki Shaw, Dawn Thomas, Carol Mehaffie-Dowling, Erin Mehaffie and Micki Lapham all of York; two brothers, Shawn Lapham and Robert Williams both of York; several nieces and nephews in the York and Hampstead, MD areas and other extended family members from the Hampstead area. He was preceded in death by one sister, Lisa Ann Mehaffie. Memorial contributions may be made to York/Adams Drug & Alcohol Program, York County Government Center, 100 W.
