NEW OXFORD- William O. Taylor, 90, died on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Cross Keys Village-The Brethren Home Community. He was the husband of the late Marie E. (Molison) Taylor, who died on March 16, 2003. The couple had been married for 57 years. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015 at the Nicarry Meetinghouse at Cross Keys Village, 2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, PA 17350 with the Reverend Linda S. Titzell officiating. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born on June 23, 1925 in Mercersburg, he was a son of the late Omar F. and Thelma (Mentzer) Taylor. William was a chemical analyst for Medusa Cement Factory until his retirement. Mr. Taylor served our country for seven years and ten months in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Mr. Taylor enjoyed living and attending church at The Brethren Home Community in New Oxford, PA. Mr. Taylor is survived by one son, Stephen W. Taylor and his wife, Dana L. Minor of Miramar Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Stephanie and Michael and family; three step grandchildren, Jesse, Joe and Kristen; one step great grandson, Landon; one brother, Richard Taylor of Mint Hill, NC; and one sister, Elaine Baublitz of Chambersburg, PA. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Taylor; and two sisters, Rosalie Lentz and Joan Aby. Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community, c/o Foundation Office, 2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, PA 17350.
