William M. Noel

YORK HAVEN - William M. "Bill" Noel, 59, died at 4:05 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. He was the husband of Linda Ruth (Crotsley) Noel with whom he celebrated a 40th wedding anniversary on April 27, 2008. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Beaver Urich Funeral Home, 305 W. Front St., Lewisberry with the Rev. Darryl Eyler officiating. Burial with military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard will be in Emanuel Cemetery. Viewing will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Noel was born June 9, 1949, in Altoona, Blair County. He was the son of the late Warren and Orpha (Sanders) Noel. He was a truck driver with ABF Trucking in Carlisle and had previously driven with Preston Trucking for many years. Mr. Noel was a graduate of Altoona High School and then served in the US Navy. He formerly attended Cassel's Christian & Missionary Alliance Church and was a member of Teamsters Local 776. He enjoyed woodworking, was an avid PS3 gamer, and loved spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Mr. Noel is survived by his son, Jeff Noel of York Haven; two daughters, Linda Demchik and husband, Michael of York and Sarah Noel of York Haven; a brother, James Noel of Tyrone; and four sisters, Maureen Noel of Holidaysburg, Marleen Lardieri of San Antonio, Texas, Patricia Crawford of Holidaysburg and Maryann Reily, also of Texas. Mr. Noel was preceded in death by a brother, Warren Noel, and a sister, Kathy Rossbach.
