William Lee Evans, Sr.

RED LION—William Lee Evans Sr., 74, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021 at his residence in Windsor Township. He was the husband of Darlene M. (Cunningham) Evans to whom he was married for 27 years. Born January 17, 1947 in Houtzdale, Clearfield Co., a son of late Gomer and Catherine (Witherson) Evans. He was employed with York Penn Machinery as a machinist for many years until his retirement. In addition to his wife, Mr. Evans is also survived by a son, William L. Evans Jr., and wife, DanaJo of West York; a daughter, Dory Brannon and her husband, David of Shiloh; two step children, John Cunningham of York and Kris Kohler of York; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Cynthia L. Evans and one sister, Lila Jean Huska. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10AM Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Officiating the service will be Pastor Steven Warner. A viewing will be held from 9-10AM, Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
