William L. Shellhammer

William L. Shellhammeer POTTSVILLE-William L. Shellhammer, 79, resident of Schuylkill Center, Pottsville, passed away on Monday evening at the Pottsville Hospital. Born in Furnace Hill on March 4, 1928, he was the son of the late Robert, Sr. and Pearl Spotts Toback Shellhammer. He worked for many years at the former Grace Shop, Pottsville he then retired from Union Bank and Trust, Pottsville. He was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Pottsville. William was preceded in death by his two brothers, two half brothers and his two half sisters. He is survived by several nieces and nephews including Jane Strauss, Cumbola, his niece and caretaker, daughter of his late half sister, Anna Coyle. Memorial services will be held on Saturday morning at 10:00 A.M. from the Trinity United Church of Christ, 316 West Market Street, Pottsville. The Rev. James Fidler will officiate. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the church. PRIVATE inurnment will be held in Schuylkill Memorial Park Mausoleum, Schuylkill Haven.
