William L. "Bill" Davis

RENOVO - William Lewis “Bill” Davis, 73, died on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Bucktail Medical Center. Bill was married to the former Carla Jean (Rodman) who survives and have celebrated 55 years as husband and wife. Bill was born on December 15, 1941 in Sinnemahoing and was the son of the late John R. and Sadie Viola (Pitts) Davis. He had worked for 35 ½ years for DCNR Forestry and retired in 1992. He was a member of the Clinton County Sportsman Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing, guns, and riding in the woods looking for game. In addition to his wife Carla, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Michael J. and Marsha Davis of Renovo and Lewis W. and Druanne Davis of North Bend, six grandchildren; Dillon Davis, Barrett Davis, Elizabeth Davis, Rebecca Davis, Sarah “Gabby” Davis and Rachel Hevner, one great-grandson; Kash Hevner, three sisters; Donna L. Sample of Hackettstown, NJ, Wanetta Cook of Dubois and Kay Rhodes of Reynoldsville and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather; Francis “Chip” Perry. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family with burial in North Bend Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Renovo Fire Department, 230 11th St., Renovo, PA 17764 or to the American Cancer Society, 1948 East Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701. Arrangements are being handled by the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., Renovo, PA.
