DANVILLE - William K. "Bill" Harner, 71, died on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at his residence. He was the husband of Shirley F. (Schaeffer) Harner for 51 years and who survives. William was born in East Lewisburg on October 17, 1937 and was a son of the late Arthur and Mable (Biddinger) Harner. William was a former employee of the former Zechmans Feed Mill in Potts Grove and had retired in 2000 from Milton Transportation as a truck driver. He was a former member of the Revival Tabernacle of West Milton and had attended the Assembly of God Church in Milton. He enjoyed gathering with his friends, truck drivers and retired truck drivers at times and was a dedicated family man. In addition to his wife Shirley, he is survived by two sons; William K. Harner, Jr. of Mountain Home, Idaho and Paul E. Harner of Danville, three daughters; Sandy J. Lade of Cutoff, LA, Terina A. Acy and Christine C. Phillips, both of Danville, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one brother; David Harner of Pittsburgh and three sisters; Beatrice F. Oaks, Esther M. Dunkle and Ruth Ann Stahl, all of Danville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister; Virginia "Ginny" Walt. There will be a memorial service 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the Assembly of God, 630 Lincoln St., Milton, PA 17847 with the Reverend James R. Hollenbauch officiating. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton.
