William J. Woll

William J. Woll, 75, of Manor Care, Camp Hill, PA, passed away on March 22, 2013. He was born in Pottsville, PA on April 18,1937. He was the son of Clarance and Olive Bell Woll. In, addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Jane Spotts. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Fedorchak Woll of 51 years. He graduated from Pottsville High School and Wilkes College, Wilkes Barre, PA He was a member of Market Square Church, Harrisburg. Bill retired from Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association as their Executive Director. Early in his career at PMAA, he was involved in State lobbying. He was a charter member of the Pennsylvania Society of Association Executives, a member of American Water Works Association, Water Pollution Control Association, and the Harrisburg Rotary Club. He served as Chairman of Local Government Conference. He also served on the Water Utility Control and the PMAA Executive Committee. Bill was a Trustee of the PA Local Government, the PMAA Insurance Trust, and the Unemployment Compensation Trust. He was also instrumental in creating the PMAA Magazine. Noted for his quick wit and ready smile for everyone, he had a zest for life and enjoyed fishing, sailing, canoeing, gardening and cats. He loved to travel to the Caribbean and spent a great deal of time at the Jersey Shore. He was an avid reader and Penn State Nittany Lion football fan. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2013, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Pottsville, Pa. A 'celebration of life' will follow at 11:00 A.M. Interment will then be conducted in the Charles Baber Cemetery In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA, 17110 or to PAWS, P.O. Box 855, Camp Hill, PA 17001. A sincere 'thank you' is extended to all of the Care Givers and Staff at Manor Care Nursing Home and Hospice of Central Pennsylvania for their kind and loving care.
