William J. Richardson

YORK- William J. “Bill” Richardson, 68, of York Township, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at his residence. He was the husband of Joan P. (Crandles) Richardson. The couple celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary on May 26, 2016. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2935 Kingston Rd. in York, with a visitation from 9-10 a.m. Father James Menkhus, OFM Cap., will be officiating at the service. Interment services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Richardson was born in St. Louis, MO, September 7, 1948, the son of the late William and Anne (Jobeless) Richardson. He worked for various insurance companies as a claims manager. Mr. Richardson was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in York. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Psychology in 1974 from Western Kentucky University. He served in the US Marine Corps. where he attained the rank of Sergeant. Mr. Richardson leaves a son, William G. Richardson and his wife Stacy of Castle Rock, CO and a daughter, Joanne M.
