William J. "Bill" Chronister

RED LION – William J. “Bill” Chronister, 81, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Shirley J. (Smith) Chronister to whom he was married for 60 years on October 22, 2020. Born June 13, 1939 in York a son of the late Elmer E. and Grace M. (Fitz) Chronister, he was a 1957 graduate of Red Lion Area High School. Mr. Chronister had retired from Bechtel Co. where he was a project manager on nuclear power plant facilities. Bill was a member of IBEW 229 in York, Gideon’s International and was an avid big game hunter. In addition to his wife, Mr. Chronister is survived by two daughters, Crystal B. and husband Mark Allen of Denver, Lancaster Co. and Kathy A. and husband Thomas Kramme of Quakertown; five granddaughters; three great grandchildren; a brother, Donald Chronister of York; and a sister, Brenda Hotham of Florida. Tribute services will be private with burial in Bethlehem Stonepile United Methodist Cemetery.
