YORK--William J. Baltozer, 88, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021 at SpiriTrust Lutheran—Sprenkle Village. He was the husband of Suzanne (Burras) Baltozer to whom he was married for 63 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11AM Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Bethany United Methodist Church, 121 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Parlett. A viewing will be held from 10-11AM, Thursday at the church. Burial will be held in Mt. Rose Cemetery with military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born January 23, 1933 in York, he was a son of the late Jacob N. and Pauline (Gross) Baltozer. He was employed with Voith Hydro for 26 years as an assembler until his retirement. A part of the PA National Guard’s 104th Armored Division, he served during the Korean War and later served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Mississippi, USS Dortch and USS Power. He was a member of the Shiloh American Legion—Post 791, Korean War Veterans Assoc—Chapter 178 and York County Veterans Honor Guard. He also volunteered with the Goodwill Fire Company No. 1—York Township, where he served as Chief for 8 years, was a member of the York Co. Fire Fighters Assoc, Fireman Assoc of PA, Voith Hydro Quarter Century Club and Bethany United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, Mr. Baltozer is also survived by a sister-in-law, Fay B. McCrory and the Chris Hengst and Doran Frock Families. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, 121 W. Broadway, Red Lion Pa 17356 or Goodwill Fire Company No.1—York Township, 2318 S.
