Dover—William H. Quigley, 91, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at his residence in Conewago Twp. He was the husband of the late Charlotte (Zearfoss) Quigley. The couple married December 29, 1945. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11AM, Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church, 2740 Roosevelt Ave, York with his pastor, the Rev. Greg Wahlberg officiating. Viewings will be held from 6-8PM, Friday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York and from 10-11AM, Saturday at church. Burial will be held in Suburban Memorial Gardens. Born February 21, 1927 in Red Lion, he was a son of the late William H. Quigley, Sr and Mary (Morrison) Quigley. He founded Bill Quigley Auto Sales & Truck Rental in 1966, a business he operated until 2002 when he retired as CEO of Quigley Motor Company. A United States Army Veteran of World War II, he was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church in York. He loved spending time with family and taking things apart and putting them back together “improved”. He also volunteered with ANINI Orphanage of Guatemala. Mr. Quigley is survived by three sons, Michael J. Quigley, Marty J. Quigley and Lonnie R. Quigley; six daughters, Cheri A. Gill, Laurie J. Lohss, Wendi J. Mackley, Robbi L. McClane, Thuy T. Phan and Malay Jules; 30 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; one brother, Quentin Q. Quigley; two sisters, Isabel Holt and Joann Frey and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua S. McClane; one sister, Lois Kefauver and two brothers, Jerry and Clinton “Butch” Quigley. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or New Life Center for Mothers and Children, PO Box 157, Glen Rock, Pa 17327.
