Dallastown—William H. Morton, 85, died Thursday, September 27, 2012 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Frances R. (Rodgers) Morton. The couple was to celebrated 61 years of marriage on November 23rd. A Celebration of Life Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born September 9, 1927 in Dallastown, he was the son of the late Robert L. and Carolyn K. (Kyle) Morton. He was graduated from the Milton Hershey School for Boys in 1944 and later served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II. He was the owner of Morton Graphics, a printing/graphics company which he established in 1969 and operated until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the White Rose Lodge No. 706 Free & Accepted Masons. An avid golfer with a passion for the game, he was a member of the former Red Lion Country Club and Springwood Golf Course. In addition to holding a membership at Springwood Golf Course he was also employed part-time on their grounds and maintenance crew. Mr. Morton is also survived by one son, William L. Morton and his wife, Ann of York; one daughter, Lori A. Kauffman of York; two granddaughters, Kelsey N. and Katelyn N. Morton, both of York and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Salvation Army, 50 E. King Street, York, Pa 17401.
