William H. 'Bill' Geiselman

YORK – William H. “Bill” Geiselman, 92, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Country Meadows at Leader Heights. He was the husband of Margaret S. (Hovis) Geiselman with whom he celebrated 70 years of marriage on Feb. 1, 2011. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 18, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with his pastor, The Rev. Randy S. Hughes officiating. Viewings will be held from 4-6:00 PM Sunday and 9-10:00 AM Monday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Born May 8, 1919 in Jacobus, a son of the late Phares and Emma (Shue) Geiselman, he retired from the former Oliver Corp. and later celebrated his second retirement from Motter Printing Co. Mr. Geiselman was a very active member at Christ United Methodist Church in Jacobus; and was a life member of Viking and Victory Athletic Assoc., and Hawks Gunning Club. As an avid bowler, he was inducted into the York-Adams Bowling Hall of Fame in 1982 and enjoyed bowling at Suburban Bowlerama. Mr. Geiselman was a founding committee member of Boy Scouts of America, Troop 17 in York, where he volunteered for many years as his children participated in activities. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. Bill had also been active with the Oliver Corp. retirees group and was a former member of Foreman’s Club of York. In addition to his wife, Mr. Geiselman is survived by a son, Gary L. Geiselman of York; two daughters, Janice K. and husband Gregory Bortner of Jacobus and Judy A. and husband Mickey Pantano of Jacobus; four grandchildren, Carmine and wife Betsy Pantano, Philip and wife Ashley Pantano, Jason and wife Megan Bortner, and Shannon and husband Bryan Werner; six great grandchildren; and a sister, Hilda Hershner of Felton. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald R. Geiselman; and several brothers and sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Assoc., 3544 N.
