William E. Sweitzer

YORK - William E. "Wimp" Sweitzer, 75, passed away Wednesday August 4, 2010 at the residence of his son, David W. Krebs. He was the companion of Catherine Krebs. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 9, 2010 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. Viewings will be held from 6-8:00 PM Sunday and 1-2:00 PM Monday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in St. Paul's Zeigler's Cemetery. Born July 10, 1935 in York a son of the late Edward H. Sweitzer and the late Martha I. (Plunkett) Sweitzer Krout, he worked throughout York County as a roofer. He was a member of the Ninth Ward Political Club. In addition to his companion, Mr. Sweitzer is survived by four sons, Garry L. Sweitzer, Larry L. Sweitzer, William E. Sweitzer, Jr. all of York and David W. Krebs of Dallastown; a daughter, Karen A. Herman of York; a number of grandchildren; one great grandchild; a brother, Donald R. Sweitzer of York; and two sisters, Shirley A. Griffith of York and Nancy L. Stremmel of Spring Grove. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Natalia Krebs; and two brothers, Robert H. and Raymond Sweitzer.
