William E. Katzenberger, Sr.

WINDSOR - William E. Katzenberger, Sr., 81, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Carol J. (Snack) Katzenberger to whom he was married for 25 years on May 27th. Born December 31, 1938 in Baltimore, a son of the late Thomas and Alice (Mench) Katzenberger, he worked as a truck mechanic in Baltimore for many years. William was a US Army veteran. In addition to his wife, Mr. Katzenberger is survived by a daughter, Dawn Harding of Virginia; two sons, Kirk Katzenberger of Maryland and William Katzenberger, Jr. of North Carolina; a stepson, Douglas Cooper of Maryland; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Pearce and Susan Zacharko both of Maryland; two brothers, Thomas Katzenberger of Maryland and James Katzenberger of Virginia; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Dennis Cooper. A Celebration of Life Tribute service will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in Parkwood Cemetery, Baltimore.
