William Carl Warner

RED LION- William Carl Warner, 89, died Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Dallastown Nursing Center. He was the husband of the late Doris L. (Heininger) Warner. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, October 27, 2008 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, his pastor The Rev. Robert S. Edmundson officiating. A viewing will be from 9-10:00 AM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Harmony Presbyterian Cemetery. Mr. Warner was born June 27, 1919 in Collinsville, a son to the late Ray Carl and Annie Margaret (Burk) Warner. He was born and raised on a farm then continued on to work at various area carpentry factories. Mr. Warner retired from Taylor and Taylor Furniture Factory in 1982. As a young adult he enjoyed playing horseshoes and playing in various county baseball leagues. He enjoyed woodworking, crafts, and building bird houses. Mr. Warner is survived by three brothers; Robert E. Warner of Felton, Richard E. and Dean L. Warner both of Red Lion; a sister Reba M. Leiphart of Red Lion; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Beulah M. Daugherty and Margaret R. Daugherty. Memorial Contributions may be made to the New Harmony Presbyterian Church, 2295 Delta Rd., Brogue, PA 17309.
