William O. "Bill" Brillhart, Jr.

DOVER - Bill Brillhart, age 88, raised on Clayton Avenue in York, was surrounded by his loving wife and family in his Dover home as he passed peacefully to be with Lord on the evening of Friday, 4/11/25.

A carpenter at his core, Bill is preceded in death by his parents William O. Brillhart Sr., Sarah J. Brillhart (Hagerman); brother, Terry Brillhart; his sister, Karen Yocum; and is survived by his wife of 69 years, Barbara A. Brillhart; his three daughters, Deb Gross, Jill Bair, and Stephanie Singer; his five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one sister.

Bill married in 1955, started a family and later settled in Dover in 1969. He retired from Caterpillar in 1996 and enjoyed many great family gatherings, outdoor activities, using his excellent carpentry skills and clever mind, he created countless fond memories for his friends, kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.

Through the years Bill could be relied on to build, fix, or find a solution for anything with his nimble hands and sharp mind. Of the many things he built, the most wonderful creation he ever produced was his family. That family will continue to keep his memory alive and cherish the wisdom and love he bestowed upon them while doing their best to pass it on. Rest In Peace Dad/Pappaw/Old Pap!

Bill’s Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with Pastor Kurt Herzberg officiating the service. There will be a visitation from 9:30-10:30 AM at the funeral home.
