RED LION - William B. Workinger, 76, of Windsor Township, died Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, VA. He was the husband of Norma J. (Kerchner) Workinger. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Christ Lutheran Church, 126 W. Main Street in Dallastown, with a viewing from 9:30-11a.m. His pastor, The Reverend Lawrence A. Cunnings will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Workinger was born in Dallastown on February 22, 1936, son of the late Ralph and Grace (Hildabrand) Workinger. He retired as a machinist with over 25 years of service at Caterpillar in York; prior to that he had worked for Yorktowne Kitchens in Red Lion for 15 years. Mr. Workinger was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Dallastown. Mr. Workinger leaves three sons, Jan W. Workinger and his wife Cindy of York, Stephen M. Workinger and his wife Tracy of York, and Mark E. Workinger and his wife Fran of Clayton, NC; five grandchildren, Ashley, Lauren, Victoria, Eric, and Cameron; three great grandchildren, Biancia, Stephen, III, and Collin; a brother, Robert Workinger of Shiloh; and two sisters, Beverly Kohler of Stewartstown and Brenda Descar of Brogue; and nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 126 W. Main Street, Dallastown, PA 17313 or American Heart Association- York County Division, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
