William A. Malehorn, Jr.

DOVER- William A. Malehorn, Jr., died on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara Jean (Schilberz) Malehorn. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with his pastor, Reverend Larry Katz officiating. A viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born on May 12, 1945 in York, he was a son of the late William A. and Madge Louise (Rentzel) Malehorn, Sr. William was a missionary for T.I.M.E. Ministries. Mr. Malehorn served our country for one year and seven months in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and served with the Big Red One. Mr. Malehorn had a passion for God and ministry. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and spending time with his grandchildren. Along with his wife, Barbara Jean, William is survived by one son, Bill Landis and his wife, Krista of York; four daughters, Michelle Bailey and her husband, Scott of Red Lion, Amy Riley and her husband, Derek of Red Lion, Amber Lombardi and her husband, Raymond of Charleston, SC and Bonnie Hoffman and her husband, Michael of Mt. Wolf; one stepdaughter, Lori Biesecker and her husband, Bill of Litiz; 11 grandchildren, Jordyn, Trent, Jared, Peyton, Dalton, Nicholas, AJ, Dakoda, Leah, Kendall and Alexis; and two sisters, Bonnie Johnson and her husband, Ralph of St. Petersburg, FL and Pamela McGinnis and her husband, Michael of Red Lion. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jennifer and Azaria. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to T.I.M.E Ministries at www.timeministries.org
