Wilhelmina Torres-Suarez

YORK – Wilhelmina Torres-Suarez, 95, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Luis Diaz. Funeral services will be private with inurnment at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. Wilhelmina was born on September 26, 1918 in Guayama, Puerto Rico; she was a daughter of the late Daniel Torres and Carmen M. Suarez. She worked as a professional seamstress both in Puerto Rico and the US. Wilhelmina was a member of Jehovah’s Witness. Mrs. Torres-Suarez is survived by two sons, Gilbert and Julio Diaz; a daughter, Rosa Clemente of Wrightsville; six grandchildren, Vanessa Mendez, Alvita Ojeda, Robert Peters, Eric Peters, Georgina Nunez, and Venus Landor-Carl; 13 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carmen L. Peters; and a grandson, Adalberto Peters.
