Wilhelmena "Billie" (Hinkle) Kochenour

YORK- Born Wilhelmena Hyacinth Hinkle on December 6, 1923 in York Pennsylvania. “Billie” passed peacefully at home surrounded by family. She was a very special and well-loved lady who will be greatly missed. Billie was the daughter of the late Samuel Hinkle and Belva Winter Hinkle. Billie married Karl Kochenour in 1941, their love story lasted 66 years and they were blessed with a large & loving family. She and Karl had 5 children, all of whom she loved, nurtured and guided in her kind, gentle way. Family always came first. She had a quick beautiful smile and warm personality with the ability to sense when people needed her support. Her home was always filled with love and laughter. Billie retired from McCrory Stores and continued to enjoy her interests of growing beautiful flowers, reading, embroidering, and collecting giraffes. She was passionate about cooking, enjoyed traveling and most of all spending time with her family. Billie is survived by her 5 children, Gwen Walters of York, Bonnie Wilmer and husband Bob of Medway, Massachusetts, Carol Russell and husband Ronnie of Red Lion, Ken Kochenour and wife Candice of Naples, Florida, and Deb McCune and husband Tom of York. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She joined her beloved husband Karl, their infant son, and a great grandchild in heaven on August 16, 2021.
