RED LION - Wilda “Ruth” (Johnson) Durand, 80, died at 11:54 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2012 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edward Kenneth Durand. A service to celebrate Mrs. Durand’s life will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 9 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with the Rev. Richard B. Starr officiating. Viewings will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Chapel. Burial with a graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday, October 12 at Randhill Park Cemetery, 1700 West Rand Road, Arlington Heights, IL. Mrs. Durand was born May 18, 1932, in Scottsdale, PA. She was the daughter of the late William Ross and Wilda Ethel (Eutsey) Johnson. She was a 1950 graduate of Scottsdale High School and later earned her degree as a Registered Nurse. After many years of nursing, Mrs. Durand continued her career as an in home personal care giver. She was a loving homemaker and cherished the time that she spent with her family. She leaves three sons, James Gregory Fasano of Lancaster, Theodore Jay Fasano of Burlington, VT, and Anthony Ross Fasano of Red Lion; her daughter, Sandy Cheryl Dunn and husband, Mike of Wrightsville; 14 grandchildren, Jim, Ted, Ann, Toni Marie, Nicole, Chris, Samantha, Christine, Michelle, Tony, Kenny, Kassandra, Sandy and Michael; 13 great grandchildren, Max, Kailey, Emma, Lilly, James, Marie, Ted, Zachary, Ricky, Jessica, Neve, Adrianna and Austin; two brothers, William Johnson and Arnold Johnson, both of Erie; and two sisters, Gen Klingensmith of Greensburg and Linda Klink of Danville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 800 Corporate Circle, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
