Wendy L. (Altland) Berkheimer

YORK- Wendy L. (Altland) Berkheimer, 49, died on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at her residence. She was the wife of Steve R. Berkheimer, to whom she was married for 28 years. Services for Wendy are private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born on July 16, 1967 in York, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Betty (Myers) Altland. Wendy operated her own cleaning business. Mrs. Berkheimer was a member of Gateway Church in York. Wendy was a simple and devoted mother who loved Jesus and her family, especially her grandchildren. Along with her husband Steve, Wendy is survived by two sons, Steve Davis and wife, Beth of York and Zack Berkheimer of York; one daughter, Brandy Hardy and husband, Bruce of Spring Grove; six grandchildren, Isabella Davis, Alyvia Davis, Cameron Davis, Brice Hardy, Bryler Hardy and Delaney Davis; one brother, Forrest Altland and wife, Barb of Dover; and four sisters, Linda Stottlemyer and husband, Ray of York, Nancy Vega of Dover, Deb Markey of York and Barb Kinley of York. She was preceded in death by one sister, Yvonne Altland; and one brother, Barry Altland.
