SAYRE, PA- Wendell "Jud" Judson, 85, of Columbia Cross Roads, PA passed away on Friday, August 6, 2010 at the Robert Packer Hospital. Wendell was the loving husband of Jobyna "Jo" (Kelsoe) Judson. The couple married December 1, 1945 and had 64 happy years together. Family and friends are welcome to gather from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 100 West Main Street Troy, PA 16947. The funeral service and burial will be private and at the convenience of Wendell's family. Wendell was born on July 20, 1925 in Columbia Cross Roads, PA, son of the late James W. and Olive (Tears) Judson. He was a 1943 graduate of Troy High School and was a US Army Air Corps veteran, serving his country during World War II. For many years Wendell was the proud owner of the Judson's Feed Mill in Columbia Cross Roads, PA. He was a member of the Columbia Cross Roads United Methodist Church, the Cross Roads Hunting Camp, and the American Legion Post 49 of the Troy Vet's Club. Wendell was an over 50-year member of the Trojan Lodge #306 of Free and accepted Masons, and belonged to several other Masonic bodies. He was a 50-year member of the Troy Lions Club and was a Melvin Jones award recipient. Wendell was a member of the Judson's Bowling Team, a Troy Area School District Foundation Honoree, a big supporter of local sports, and an avid Penn State fan. He was a past director of: the First Bank of Troy, the Robert Packer Hospital, and was a Trustee for Mansfield University. Wendell was a wonderful provider and always put his family first. His family includes his wife Jo, his son Nicky Judson and friend Bonnie of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, his daughter Patty Jo (Manny) Feijoo of Johnson City, NY, his grandchildren: Daren (Annette) Rexroad, Joseph, Jeremy, Jared, and Jordan Judson, and Ammie (Ricardo) Farraj Feijoo, his great grandchildren: Cooper, Brody, and Levi Rexroad, and Manuel Farraj Feijoo, his sister Ellen (Joey) Foust of Granville Summit, PA, his brothers-in-law; James (Nelda) Kelsoe and Jerry (Patsy) Kelsoe, both of Texas, and several nieces and nephews. Wendell was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Dixie Judson. Wendell's family will provide flowers for his funeral. In Lieu of flowers the family has asked that contributions be made in Wendell's memory to the Columbia Cross Roads United Methodist Church, RR 3 Columbia Crossroads, PA 16914.
