Wayne V. Rolley

WILLIAMSPORT - Wayne V. Rolley, 74, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2014 at his home. He was married on February 24, 1977 to the former Phyllis M. (Smith), who survives and have celebrated 37 years as husband and wife. Wayne was born April 1, 1940 in Williamsport and was the son of the late Vincent and Darl (Stover) Rolley. He graduated from Williamsport Area High School, was a veteran and served with the US Marines and was Catholic by faith. He retired from the State Correctional Institute of Muncy as a correctional officer after 20 years service. In addition to his wife Phyllis, he is survived by one son; Joseph W. Lundy of Williamsport, one daughter; Renee L. Rolley (Shawn A. Boyd) of Williamsport, two grandchildren; Alesha R. Rolley and Brittany C. Thompson, both of Williamsport, one great-grandson; Anthony U. Decatus of Williamsport, one brother; Steven L. Rolley of Williamsport, one nephew; Christopher S. Rolley of Monroe, NY and one niece; Laura M. Osenbach of Williamsport. There will be a public viewing Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport where the funeral will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Msgr. Stephen D. McGough officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Montoursville.
