Wayne S. Rinehart, Sr.

LOCK HAVEN - Wayne S. Rinehart, Sr., 70, died Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born on December 7, 1946 in Jersey Shore and was the son of the late Leonard and Dorothy (Thomas) Rinehart. Wayne served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was honorable discharged on November 14, 1968. On March 14, 1969 Wayne married the late Patricia A. (Kitchen) and they celebrated 40 years of marriage until her death on May 9, 2010. He was a graduate of Jersey Shore High School Class of 1965. Wayne was a member of First Baptist Church, Lock Haven, American Legion Post #131 of Lock Haven and a lifetime member of Lock Haven V.F.W. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching the Steelers, WWE wrestling, Let’s Make A Deal on TV, listening to 93.3 WBZD on the radio, camping, pulling pranks on people and most of all spending time with his family. Wayne is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law; Wayne S. Rinehart, Jr. of Lock Haven and Jeffery W. and Darlene Rinehart of Solona, one daughter and son-in-law; Machelle R. and David Gregory of Jersey Shore, nine grandchildren; Gary, Joshua, Charles, Allie, Zachery, Tiffany, Dycoda, Ty and Devon, 15 great grandchildren, two brothers and sisters-in-law; Roger and Michelle Rinehart of Jersey Shore and Cris and Kathy Rinehart of Jersey Shore along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents and wife, Wayne was preceded in death by four brothers; Terry, David, Scott and Mark Rinehart. A memorial service will take place at 6:00p.m., Friday, January 6, 2017 at First Baptist Church, corner of Church and Vesper Streets, Lock Haven. Following the service there will be refreshments served in the church basement. Arrangements are being handled by Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, PA.
