Wayne H. Heck

RENOVO - Wayne H. Heck, age 73, died at the Gatehouse in Williamsport on Tuesday, Oct 4, 2011. He was born in Renovo on May 20, 1938, a son of the late Gordon L. and Helen (Drake) Heck. Wayne worked as a laborer for the Hammermill Paper Co. and also worked for the Whitaker Corp. He attended the North Bend United Methodist Church, was a member of the Western Clinton Co. Sportsman’s Assoc., was an avid model train and miniature fire truck collector, and especially enjoyed working outdoors. He was a life member and former chief of the Chapman Twp. Fire Co. and was a former member of the Citizens Hose Co. of S. Renovo, Emerald Hose Co., and the West Branch Fire Co. when it was in force. Surviving is his fiancée: Melinda Hanley of Renovo, stepson: Reagan Bauman of Renovo, daughters: Karen (Jeff) Spohn of Westfield, Pa., Jessica Goldy of Daytona Beach, Fla., Velma Bauman of Renovo, and Courtney Bauman of Mill Hall. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, a sister: Marjorie (Boyd) McKinley of S. Williamsport, and two nieces and two nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St. Renovo at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
