Red Lion—Wayne H. Clouser, 94, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Rest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Helen L. (Kinard) Clouser, who passed away November 22, 2012 whom he loved and adored everyday of their 65 years together. A Celebration of Life will be 11 AM, Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with the Rev. Sterling Trimmer Jr., officiating. A viewing will be held from 10:30 to 11 AM, Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Red Lion Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Dallastown American Legion Post 605 Honor Guard. Born December 18, 1918 in Dallastown, he was the son of the late Albert W. and Margaret E. (Loudon) Clouser. He drove truck on a bread delivery route for many years working for Hershey’s Bakery and later Capital Bakery until his retirement in 1980. Following his retirement, he delivered the York Dispatch with his wife. A United States Army Veteran of World War II, he served with the 39th Special Service Company as a Sergeant and was award the Bronze Star along with other numerous accommodations. He graduated from Mechanicsburg High School in 1938, enjoyed playing cards and bird watching and loved fishing. Mr. Clouser is survived by three sisters-in-law, Edna Howard and husband, Darwin, Erma Grim and Nancy Kinard; two brothers-in-law, Nevin Kinard and Nolan Kinard and wife, Lois; cousin, Winnie Paulus, of Mechanicsburg and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five siblings, Mary, Miriam, John, Albert and Charles. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 South Lincoln Ave, Lebanon, PA 17042.
