Wayne A. Eichelberger, Jr.

DOVER - Wayne A. Eichelberger, Jr., 68, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 21, 2014. He was the husband of R. Joyce (Spangler) Eichelberger to whom he was married 50 years. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 11 AM at New Life Church, 530 Big Spring Road, New Cumberland, with his Pastor, The Reverend Ronald G. Riggins officiating. A viewing will be held from 10-11 AM prior to the service. Burial will be in Tri-County Memorial Gardens. Beaver Urich Funeral Home, 305 W. Front St., Box 322, Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements. Born December 28, 1945 in Harrisburg, Wayne was a son of the late Wayne A. and Ruth C. (Cramer) Eichelberger. He worked for 36 years as a plant operator for Brunner Island Power Plant until his retirement in 2006. Mr. Eichelberger was a member of New Life Church. He enjoyed motorcycles, horses and fast cars. He was a passionate fan of the Dallas Cowboys. In addition to his wife, Mr. Eichelberger is survived by a son, Gregry L. Eichelberger and his wife Kimberly of Lewisberry; a daughter, Nikki L. Enders and her husband Thomas of New Cumberland; five grandchildren, Nicholas Enders, Katelyn Helman and her husband Gregory, Nathan Enders, Juliana Eichelberger and Zachry Eichelberger; a sister, Maxine F. Steck of New Cumberland; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Eichelberger, and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald P. Eichelberger.
