WINDSOR TOWNSHIP- Wanzoleen "Wanda" (Landreth) Saylor, 77, of Red Lion, died Friday, March 6, 2009 at Manor Care Health Services-South in York. She was the wife of Paul E. Saylor. The couple celebrated their 62nd Wedding Anniversary on December 27, 2008 A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. on Sunday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a visitation from 1-2 p.m. Her pastor, The Reverend Gary D. Weaver will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. Mrs. Saylor was born in Piney Creek, N.C., a daughter of the late James and Annice (Cheshire) Landreth. She retired after 25 years of work for Sears Roebuck and Company in York. She later developed and supervised a Home Healthcare Program for the hospital in Alleghany County, N.C. from 1989-1996. Mrs. Saylor was a member of St. Paul's Chapel United Methodist Church on Cape Horn Rd., where she was active in missions and outreach. She was a member of Older Adult Ministry for Central PA Conference. She also served as Secretary of the Board of Directors and was a volunteer for Red Lion Area Community Services. Along with her husband, Wanda leaves two daughters, Paula J. Burt of Spry and Muriel A. Slenker of Red Lion; a son, Michael J. Saylor of Carlisle, Mass. currently in Beijing, China; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; a sister, Ozena (Landreth) Markle of West Manchester Twp. and a brother, W. James Landreth of Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Red Lion Area Community Services, 20-A Gotham Place, Red Lion, Pa, 17356.
