Wanda L. Peters

Wellsburg, New York Wanda L. Peters, age 83 formerly of Main Street Chemung, NY passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Elderwood Care Facility Waverly, NY. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, December 13, 2008 from 2 to 4PM at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street. Wellsburg, NY. Her service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 4PM with Reverend James Carr officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Elmira, NY. Wanda was born December 30, 1924 in Big Pond, PA daughter of the late Harold and Evon Chamberlain Leonard. She was married to the late Harold D. Peters. Wanda was a member of the Chemung United Methodist Church, Chemung United Methodist Women and taught Sunday School. Her other intrests included Tuesday Morning Bowling, oil painting and enjoying the time she spent with her family especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Dwight & Tracey Peters of Prescott, AZ, Dean & Mary Peters of Cave Creek, AZ, Gary & Jessie Peters of Chemung, NY, Scott & Peggy Peters of Waverly, NY, Brian Peters of Scranton, PA, Linda & Glenn Baker of Newnan, GA, Susan & Gerald Plaisted of Waverly, NY, Cindy & Don Morgan of Sayre, PA, Terri & Rick Frerich of Augusta, GA, Dawn & Jondale Howey of Barton, NY, 65 plus grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, a sister-in-law, Audrey Leonard, surrogate sister Martha DePew of Chemung, NY, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
