Wanda J. Dowling

South Renovo - Wanda J. (Gentzyel) Dowling, 68, a former resident of Hyner passed away, Monday, March 14, 2016 at Bucktail Medical Center. She was born March 17, 1947 in Renovo a daughter of the late Thomas and Ida (Fry) Gentzyel. Wanda was married to Kenneth Kepler who died in 2014. She worked as a custodian for Keystone Central School District for 30 years. She enjoyed crocheting and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Wanda was a member of the American Legion and the Elks of Renovo. Surviving are one son Michael L. (Tracey) Dowling of Richmond, Indiana also a daughter Kelley (Todd) Risley of Renovo. Four grandchildren two step-grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Also surviving are five brothers Richard Gentzyel of North Bend, David Gentzyel of S. Renovo, Harry Gentzyel of Lock Haven, James Gentzyel of Illinois and Roger Gentzyel of Hyner and three sisters Mary Kleese of Lock Haven, Ruth Woolen of Illinois and Ann Kleese of Florida. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Four brothers William, Franklin, Maurice and Ordell and a sister Bessie Krupa, preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2016 at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo with Martha Sykes officiating. Friends and relatives will be received one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at North Bend Cemetery.
