Wanda G. (Pflieger) Nace

YORK – Wanda G. (Pflieger) Nace, 92, passed away Friday, May 3, 2013 at Providence Place. She was the wife of John E. Nace to whom she was married for 47 years; and the late Christian W. Bauer. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 6, 2013 at Providence Place, 3377 Fox Run Rd., Dover with Rev. John Nelson officiating. Private burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born July 16, 1920 in York, a daughter of the late Marion and Rebecca (Lyons) Pflieger, she was a 1938 graduate of William Penn Senior High School. Prior to having children, Wanda worked at Bear’s Department Store and the former GTE Corp. Mrs. Nace was a past president of the York Branch of American Heart Association; enjoyed camping, crocheting, knitting, and making crafts. Her greatest love was spending time with her family. In addition to her husband John, Mrs. Nace is survived by a son, Michael E. and wife JoAnn Bauer of Hanover; two daughters, Judith Ann and husband Carl Johnson of York and Kathleen M. and husband Timothy Noll of Dallastown; a stepson, James W. and wife Debra Nace of Lewisberry; 12 grandchildren, Alex, Kristen, Jessica, Greggory, Lisa, Wesley, Darin, Jamie, Megan, Molly, Morgan, and Taylor; six grandchildren, Macayla, Alexander, Anastasia, Brighton, Allison, and Cameron. She was preceded in death by two stepchildren, Marc E. Nace and Josie A. Stonesifer.
