POTTSVILLE - Wanda Burch, 89, of Pottsville died Tuesday at the Schuylkill Center. Born in Pottsville on August 3, 1921, she was a daughter of the late John and Loretta Cartwright Dalton. She attended Pottsville High School. She was married to the late Edward Burch, who died in 1985. Wanda was employed as a seamstress for Alpha Mills and the Bleach and Dye in Port Carbon. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Pottsville. Wanda was an animal lover, and enjoyed spending time with her family. Surviving Wanda are: two daughters, Sandra and her husband Clyde Adams, of Pottsville, and Kathleen Lafferty, of Auburn; a son, Lawrence Walters, of Florida; ten grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; a brother, Russell and his wife Joan Dalton, of Pottsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Wanda was preceded in death by: 14 brothers and sisters; and two grandchildren, Michael Jacobs and Joy Decker. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 10 AM from Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & W. Market St., Pottsville. The Reverend Jeff Colarossi will officiate. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 9 AM until time of service. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
