TROY- Walter James “Sonny” Allen, Jr. of Columbia Cross Roads, PA. Born in Troy, PA November 29, 1942 to the late Walter J. Allen, Sr. and Evelyn (Page) Allen Stone of Columbia Cross Roads, PA and passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Bradford County Manor with his family by his side. Sonny was gifted in many areas, a father, son, brother, logger, and horseman. Sonny is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Brian and Kimberly of Troy, PA, Steve and Holly of Wellsburg, NY, Harold and Melissa of Erin, NY, and Joe of Sayre, PA, their mother Connie Allen of Wellsburg, NY, his grandchildren: Brittany, Jathan, Madeline, Nicole, Zachary, Ciera, and Eli, his great granddaughter Danica, his mother Evelyn Stone of Columbia Cross Roads, his sisters: Sue Baker of Canton, Anita Freeh of Columbia Cross Roads, and Jean Doolittle of Binghamton, NY, along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. Sonny was preceded in death by his father Walter J. Allen, Sr. Services are private and at the convenience of Sonny’s family. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. has been entrusted with the arrangements. The family has asked for no flowers to be sent but for those wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of Sonny may direct them to the Bradford County Manor 15900 Route 6 Troy, PA 16947 or to the charity of one’s own choosing.
