W. Paul Eifert Jr.

DOVER - W. Paul Eifert, Jr., 76, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021, at his residence. Paul was the husband of Susan K. (Piper) Eifert, to whom he was married for 55 years. Born in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania on November 29, 1944, Paul was the son of the late W. Paul, Sr. and Dorothy A. (Huber) Eifert. A graduate of Bloomsburg State College and Millersville University, Paul spent the first six years of his career as a teacher in the Northeastern School District. He then worked in membership and insurance sales with AAA Southern Pennsylvania for 34 years until his retirement in 2007. He and Susan were previously members of both St. David’s E.C. Church in Dover and Zion United Methodist Church in York. Most recently, they attended Church of the Open Door. Paul was an avid reader, enjoyed watching his favorite television shows and boxing matches, savored a good dish of ice cream, and, most especially, delighted in spending time with his family. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Susan; son, Nathan A. Eifert and his wife, Cynthia of Dover; daughter, Anne E. Perkins and her husband, Bradly of Dover; and grandchildren, Lydia G. Eifert, Daniel A. Perkins, and Ava C. Perkins. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
