GREENBACKVILLE, VA - W. David Hershner entered into rest on Sunday September 26, 2021 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Maryland. He was the husband of Brenda J. Hershner to whom he was married for 18 years. A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Rev. Dr. Charles Salisbury officiating. Masonic Rites will be presented by Friendship Lodge #663 Free & Accepted Masons. Mr. Hershner was born on April 3, 1952 in Cross Roads, Pennsylvania; a son of the late Wilson and Hilda (Geiselman) Hershner. David is survived a by a son, Drew Hershner and wife Liz; two daughters, Marleigh Snare and husband Lucas and Amy Lewis, three grandchildren, Emma, Isabelle and Nicholas; a brother, Ron Hershner and wife Judy; and many cousins. David was a member at Round Hill Presbyterian Church and was a man full of life. He loved fishing, boating, golfing, baseball and being with friends and relatives, including his wife Brenda. After graduating from Kennard Dale High School in 1970, he furthered his education with trade school. He worked at Key Plastics, New Concept and retired from Cresent Industries on July 12, 2019. He was a member of Friendship Lodge #663 Free & Accepted Masons, Valley of Harrisburg Scottish Rite, Yorkshire Scottish Rite, and BPO Elks Lodge 1624 in Pocomoke City, Maryland. In lieu memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
