Vivian L. (Hess) Crouse

York-Vivian Lorraine (Hess) Crouse, 91, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Kenneth W. Crouse whom she married September 3, 1938 in Towson, MD.   A Funeral Service will be held 1:30 pm, Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc, 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, with the Rev. Peter S. Edwards, officiating.  A viewing will be held from 12:30-1:30 pm, Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.   Born August 29, 1919 in York, she was a daughter of the late Luther R. and Alberta (Keefer) Hess. She was employed with Shinny Bright Company as a paint sprayer for several years until her retirement in 1974.   She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed sewing, NASCAR, shopping and had a passion for animals, especially cats.   Mrs. Crouse is survived by two sons, Kenneth L. Crouse and wife, Stephanie of Mt. Wolf and Jeffrey W. Crouse and wife, Debra of Dover, four grandchildren, Lisa Thompson and husband, Steven, Gina Krout and husband, Bradley, Lori Crouse, and Russell Geesey; five great grandchildren, McKenna, Austin, Alex, Camdyn and Gabe. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Crouse and her brothers and sisters.   Memorial contributions may be made to York County Veterans In Need, 100 W. Market Street, York, Pa 17401.
